Admissions Requirements
- Minimum age: 17. Applicants under 18 may be admitted with written parent or guardian permission. An applicant under 17 may be admitted only with special written permission from the institution.
- Proof of secondary education required (high school diploma, GED, recognized equivalent, or a recognized post-secondary technical/engineering diploma completed in place of a higher-secondary certificate). The institution may require a credential evaluation where equivalency is not evident. Conditional admission is available in limited, documented circumstances.
- Required documentation: completed application, government-issued photo ID, and proof of secondary education. Submit remaining documents from your student dashboard after enrollment when directed.
- Non-English-educated applicants only: English proficiency documentation required — minimum score of Duolingo English Test (DET) 100, TOEFL iBT 70, IELTS 6.0, or another standardized English proficiency test as approved by the institution (this is a language-proficiency requirement, not a general admissions entrance test).
- No general entrance test is required for applicants who provide proof of secondary education.
- Ability-to-Benefit is not offered, consistent with 40 TAC § 807.192(a)(3), which limits Ability-to-Benefit admission to nondegree programs only.
- The institution may establish an admission assessment (e.g., math, English, science, or online-learning readiness) as a required part of admission, which an applicant may be permitted to retake. An assessment score does not guarantee admission, though the institution may decline admission based on the results. Additional eligibility criteria or a minimum acceptance score may also apply.
- The institution has open enrollment. Applicants who meet the requirements above are admitted. Admission may be denied or revoked for incomplete requirements, falsified documents or information, or a prior conduct termination, consistent with the Nondiscrimination and Accessibility statement.
- An optional admissions advisory consultation with an admissions counselor is available to discuss academic background, degree goals, and online readiness. It is not a required admissions gate.
- The institution does not currently offer VA education benefits; the VA benefits statement is not applicable at this time.
- Non-degree-seeking enrollment: the institution may allow enrollment in one or more individual courses without committing to the full degree program, subject to course prerequisites and any additional regulatory approval required. Students admitted under this category who later seek admission to the full degree program apply under the requirements above.
