Transfer Credit & Prior Learning
Credit for previous education, training, or experience at Education Redefined Inc.
Effective January 1, 2027 · Last updated September 11, 2026
Overview
The institution may award credit for prior learning, subject to published limits and verification.
Transferability of credit is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
Limits
The following published limits apply:
- Maximum credit for work completed outside a collegiate setting is 15 semester credit hours (SCH), unless awarded via recognized evaluative exams such as AP or CLEP.
- No more than one-half of the degree's credit hours (60 SCH) may come from all outside sources combined — transfer credit, non-collegiate work, and evaluative exams (AP/CLEP) together.
- No articulation agreements are currently in place.
Military education and training
Consistent with Texas Education Code § 132.026 and 40 TAC § 807.122(e)(7), the institution evaluates and grants credit for skills, education, and training obtained during military service, using the same prior-learning evaluation process described in this policy.
The institution maintains a written record of each student's previous education and training using the official TWC Record of Previous Education and Training (Form CSC-010), consistent with Texas Education Code § 132.055(b)(11).
Where credit is granted for previous education, training, or experience, the institution reduces the student's remaining program length and prorates tuition and fees accordingly, consistent with 40 TAC § 807.191(c); the student is not charged for credited subjects.
Evaluation
Optional transfer credit evaluation is available for a non-refundable $100 fee.
Submit official transcripts and supporting documentation as directed during admissions or through Student Services.
